Does anyone know how easy it currently is to renew your 3 year residency? Mine is coming up for expiration in December. I've heard conflicting opinions on how easy it is to renew it. Some say it's near impossible, others say it's easy. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Is the question concerning a TRC or a VEC? Makes a world of difference....

Is your TRC obtained together with WP?

I've had 2 TRC's in the past few years in HCMC, now in Da Nang and a VEC was no problem.  As long as you still have time on the passport (as you do), have a valid work permit, copy of sponsorship and I believe you will also need letter from local police for temp place of residence.  Believe the cost is $100.00 US for 3 years.
Of course the form  N5B and photos.
If you are employed or have relative (VN) it should be easy for them to renew for you.
Good Luck.

The papers you need to prepare:
- Your expired temporary residential card
- Your passport/ 2 3*4 pics. make a notarized passport
- If you are a businessman, make notarized copies of your investment papers, stamp and tax registration. If you have the work permit, make notarized copies of your work permit.
- Forms for extending Residential card: https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=F … le%2c.docx

There are 2 blanks which I don't know how to translate. Those are number of company's profiles. If you are owner of the company, write down anything like you want like "02CV"

Ps: Fee: 1 year-60$  2 year-80$    3 years-100$
There is another rules for people who are owners of business. They must have to register for another paper which is proved that they are foreigners who do not need any work permit.
The form is here https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=F … le%2c.docx

Hope it is helpful for you!

If you are staying with the same employer its easy enough, if its a different employer then it has to all be done again.
