I've read other posts and it seems everyone just goes for nannies, but my friend can't afford one anymore and is looking for a day care that will keep her one year old boy from 12 to 10 pm... We work strange hours.

Any help and recommendation will be appreciated.

You will never find daycare for those hours unfortunately and even if you did, it's going to be way more expensive than the "nannies" here.

And really does she want to be collecting her 1 year old from somewhere at 10pm at night when he will be sleeping.

Sorry but the reality is that she needs someone to look after him in her own home.
