Hamrun is great for shopping but I wouldn't want to live there and Swatar is a nicer place to live but the shopping is not great  :unsure

Thanks :) Shops are good having spent the past year in Gozo!

Yes, it would be like living in the centre of Victoria. There is every shop possible. Hamrun is very Maltese and can be a bit rough. I used to live in Santa Venera, Fleur de lis. I liked this area, quieter but just down the road to Hamrun and Birkikara. Do you have a car??? Swatar is a bit more limited with buses, where Hamrun has several buses to various places.

No I don't drive and have spent over 1 year travelling from Gozo to Sliema which has become unbearable, I need to be close or be able to get to Marsa, Swatar, Sliema on a fairly regular basis.

Hmm, if you were the bypass side of Swatar, then you would have all the buses at you disposal at the hospital.

Bare in mind, that Hamrun is huge, did you know, that in the middle somewhere, there are 2000 cows producing 8000 litres of milk a day lol, sorry, useless information, I just can't work out where they are! Anyway, you could be in walking distance of Marsa or Gizra, Birkikara or Valetta, it's that big!

Too funny  :D thanks again
