As your profession in Iqama is "Engineer", you should be able to get visit visa for your mother. Usually it is granted for Six months and is extendable once for the similar period. If you are unlucky, you may get the same for three months as well.

Yes you can apply visit visa for your mother as Eng. Muhammad Hussain also mentioned that you might get granted for 3 months or 6 but both are extendible once she is here. She can stay here for almost 9 to 12 months on visit visa.
