Experiencing Dubai

I hail from Mumbai so i find Dubai in many ways similar to my hometown, thanks to significant Indian population. When i first landed in Dubai in 2008 i could sense that belongingness in the air, in a way it was like being in home away from home. This city has many wonderful things, not to mention the ever-extending lists of world famous artifacts.

Beyond these extravagnza the most appealing thing that i find about Dubai is the certain urge that it develops in people to achieve the unthinkable, there is something in the culture which motivates you to rise above the challenges.

Would like to know how Dubai has changed your perspective towards life.

Living here is a nice experience, it's a great thing to meet so many different cultures on dayly basis. But at the same time, life in Dubai can be very stresful and tiring, and the worst things about Dubai are hipocrisy and rasism.

Hey Mila,

I could not agree more.

On tiring - this is because there is haste to achieve everything very quickly.
On racism - i think this is global phenomenon.
On hypocrisy - I think to say dynasties are bygone would be farfetched. A perception that royal blood is still flowing in us continues to be prevalent. Here people prefer to operate in small kingdoms. To deal with insecurity people prefer being unorganized. Suffering is only way of survival.
