Opening a Student Bank Account

Hello,

How difficult is it to open a student bank account here in Malta, What will I need?, the university has said that I will need my Passport, driving license, acceptance letter and proof of address, now when I get to Malta I wont have a proof of address for at least a week cause my tenancy starts on the 1st of October and I get there on the 23rd and I can't keep large volumes of cash with me for that long, will I be able to get an account open in that week Im there without a proof of address?

I am not a student here but what I suggest is that you look at the major banks here on Malta online and contact them reference your query. What you will find here is that what is required by you may well vary, not just between banks but also the same bank's branches. Everyone may well tell you something different because that is what it is like here.
You can apply for an account online with HSBC Malta.
