Does it Matter Which Immigration Office?

Post new topic

I thought I read somewhere that one should get there permanent residency VISA at an office close to where they plan to live? Somehow this has stuck in my mind.

However, the facilitator that I'm planning to work with says that if I get my VISA in Quito then I can live anywhere in Ecuador including Vilcabamba.

Can anyone here confirm this?

Thanks

Agent 84,

I received my residency visa here in the capital last February.

Your visa guy (or gal) is correct:  there is no restriction on where you live in Ecuador once you have the visa.

Good luck in Vilcabamba.
