Company Sponsorship vs. Green Card?

Hello! My husband and I are looking to move to Denmark from the US. He is a management consultant with insane analytical skills and an Engineering background. Neither of us speak Danish.

He just started job-hunting, but we were wondering if he would have a significantly better chance of finding a job in DK (from the US) if he obtains a green card first. Without the GC, he could still qualify for a work permit in accordance with the other schemes, however we just have no clue how keen Danish companies are to sponsor an American.

Any experiences or advice would be very welcome! Thanks!

It is EXTREMELY difficult to find a job in Denmark if you're not speaking Danish unless you're one in a million expert in your field and that you are hired beforehand. It's always better to secure a job first (and have a company sponsored your moving)

Hi Lost,
Thanks for your response, and for the link. It is indeed horrible what happened to the writer and her family and it is obviously not worth the heartbreak to go the GC route! We will continue to hope for the rare chance of securing a job beforehand.
