Moving to Saudi

Hi, We are in the process of relocating from the UK to Riyadh with my husbands job. We will be going in to a compound and my daughter I'm hoping to get in to the British International school, she is yr9. Is it very easy to make new friends, as I like to socialise and have coffee etc.....and the thought of being on my own all day is not a good one😃 Any tips and advice on the final few weeks in the UK before arriving there. What schools are you looking at and what age children?
I'm looking at British international school for my 14 yr old- wandered whether it's hard getting a place in a school there or do they just accept any children needing to go?

I've seen reviews on British school's websites and they say that there are no places. I've emailed them but never got a reply. My daughters are 8 n 5, in yr 1 n yr 4.
