Bringing over the counter medicines into the Kingdom

Post new topic

MancDoc

Is there any problem bringing over the counter non prescription medicines for personal use?  I refer to Paracetamol, Ibuprofen, Lemsip (flu powder), and Imodium (anti-diarrhoea).

I understand prescription medicines must have a doctor's prescription.

Thanks

I've never had an issue and I've brought in large bottles of acetaminophen and cetirizine from Sam's Club!

It's smart to bring in a year's supply of OTC meds because here you can only buy most in packs of ten or twelve and it can get pricey.

Never had an issue with either prescription, or over the counter, medicines.

I've been asked at both Dammam and Bahrain what they were - prescription medicines have the pharmacy documents with your name etc. on them as proof.

As for the medicines you mention, you can get them, or alternatives, in Saudi no problem, and without restriction it seems - also you can get higher strength.

These are UK/Manchester flights.
