Company banning expat without valid reason

Hi, Is the company has the right to banned the employee at the kingdom after the employee submit his final exit due to better opportunity waiting from other company?

Hello friends,

Under the Saudi Labor law, there is a clause which entitles the employer to prohibit an employee to return to Saudi for a period of 2 to 3 years if the employer feels that the employee has 'confidential information that could be used against their interest' if passed on to their competitors.

This rule basically applies to business development and marketing personnel, some companies use this to blackmail their employees. The best solution is to first convince your employer that you can not damage interests of previous company, if this fails a lawyer specializing in labour laws will definitely help. :)

how you will know that the employer banned the employee? from the time the employee sign the exit contract? or you will not know?
