Iqama renewal before expiration

I am a student and I would like to leave for Pakistan to study for my exams which I have to give here in Saudi Arabia. I want to stay in Pak from this December till the end of April. My iqama will be expiring on 28th Feb. The problem is that my father is having issues with his company. He is not in a position to negotiate with his company. Kindly can someone let me know if I can get my iqama renewed without having my father renew his work permit?
( I believe that work permit needs to be renewed with iqama right?)
