Dear all
I'm just logged to this blog.
Congratulation! It's very useful to share informations and considerations about this country!
I already have a question.

Do yo know if the stamp with arabic translation of italian passport is actually required to get a libyan touristic visa?

The informations available on this matter are not so clear.
Thanks you very much!

Hi,

As based on personal experience, these are the requirements needed for the touristic visa:
1. arabic translation stamped on the passport
2. letter of request applied at the Libyan immigration here in Libya, reference number to be forwarded to the Libyan embassy in the place where the tourist is coming from. Upon the receipt of this ref number, it will take maximum 3 days to process the visa
3. 2-way plane ticket

These are the main requirements...

Hi

all non Arabic passports must be translated , good luck with your  visit to Libya.

Horizontal Harry

Translations are no longer required, that ruling has been dropped since August 3rd.

I think I would err on the cautious side and get the translation.  The guy at passport control at Tripoli airport might miss getting the memo and then you get sent back from where you came. :lol:
