Okay, I'm ready to give more away.

I've been away from the Western comfort-zone so long (a decade), I can hardly remember many of the things many expats crave.

Thing is, I'm getting old now. I'm 49, single and having sunk all my savings into establishing schools and business ventures, I'm out of funds so will need to live on my earnings.

For the last 5 years I've been an academic professor at the most prestigious English-medium university in Cambodia, whilst also teaching English, editing and proof-reading - jobs such as banks' annual reports, NGO and government reports.

In England for some 15 years I taught at high school and college level, and wrote syllabuses and exams for Cambridge University Exam Board (under it's various guises) for GCSE and A level.

My problem in Cambodia is that I believe in standards, quality and principles, and these all fly in the face of the educational culture here. Previously I'd encountered a lot of corruption in education in Northern India, but I realise that the culture in Bangalore - at least within reputable institutions and companies is world-renown.

I'm flexible - I'd be just as happy to teach clear English pronunciation (which I've done a lot of) to call-centre staff as to get an academic post. I don't mind as long as it's a well-run reputable company or institution and pays enough to live reasonably in Bangalore (and arrange my paperwork). Actually I'm not even fixed on Bangalore - anywhere not too remote with a healthy environment would be considered, so long as I can settle down and put down roots for the rest of my years.
