Dear All

If any one could help me with their experience whether Indian Sim Card (Airtel/ Vodafone etc) work on roaming in Muscat? I was thinking of activating the international roaming and come in order to receive SMS.

Also shud I purchase the local Sim from muscat airport or some where else? And which is the better service provider n better plans for calls to India?

Thanks

Yes,  all Indian sims will work as long as you enable international roaming prior to your travel. Postpaid connections may ask for  a deposit and charge a monthly fee as well!

Once in Muscat, there are outlets of Ooredoo and OmanTel right outside the arrival gate.. you can choose any pre paid plans to start with and they will activate it immediately... both provides competitive welcome kit rates..

Hi Vigneswar,

Using a VPN to connect to any VOiP and you can make video calls for free, as long as you have a stable internet connection.
