What do you usually do on your weekends in Yucatan?
Are there any places to visit, any activities, any events or festivals regularly organized you would like to recommend?
What are your top tips for the weekend in Yucatan?

Hi Christine I am new to expat.com and I do not believe you still need this advise, but in case it helps anyone else...
Merida has free daily events, especially this year (2017) there are plenty more because it is the American capital of culture 
Also my favorite outdoors expeditions during weekends are:
- Fridays: sunset kayak
- Saturdays: Merida biking tour and going to the market
- Sundays: Puuc route (Mayan architectonic style full of details and caves) - either with ADO of the "full-one", which includes Uxmal light and sound show.
