Hi,
i Got my employment visa rejected this january from delhi.
My profession on visa - Computer Technician
My degree - Msc (bioinformatics) attested by Saudi Culture and embasyy. Reason for rejection given : degree mismatch.
At that time visa agent told, they could have done from mumbai. Now company has change the location to mumbai.to try again. (TOOK THEM 6 Months)
But still the agent not confident for same reason of mismatch. Can somebody suggest me a good consultant who can take this case forward.
In my course of bioinformatics i studied 80 % IT subjects only but its very hard to make this understand both to agents and consulate people. It tooks 6 months of wait just to change the location of endorsement. As far my knowldege there is no visa profession of bioinformatician. Pls suggest.
To the best of my knowledge...
"Computer Technician" job is more inclined towards design, set-up and maintenance of the hardware and networking systems, much similar to that of a mechanic in an automobile factory.
Informatics (bio/ geo etc.) is fundamentally related to data analysis, data research, data modelling etc. in a specific domain.
Hence the mismatch.
If you've studied a few modules on Computer Hardware & Networking in you Bioinformatics course, you can highlight those modules separately and emphasize on your achievements/expertise in that sector.
That MAY help to some extent.
Hi,
Yes i have studied fundamental computing, Advance Networking , Internet and Multimedia subject too as individual modules. Thanks for advice. I will send all my marksheets highlighting all these subjects.
On the other hand what is the suitable visa for Bioinformatics Course? Can anyone suggest?
I assume you're applying for employment visa to work in Saudi Arabia.
In that case, I suggest you post this question in Saudi forum on this blog.
With luck you may get some useful answers and leads from expats currently working in KSA with similar qualification.
Data Analyst (as suggested by Gravitas) could be a welcome option.
In general, try those options involving data and process intensive computation skills.
Bioinformatics is a highly specialized domain. Usually pharma companies and biotech farms hire people with expertise in bioinformatics for high level positions.
In today's high-tech world you never know where and when your specialization could be in demand.
Last year I saw ads from a Chinese university looking for Bioinformatics teachers from India.
Hi qais87,
Your thread is now on the Saudi Arabia forum.
Hope it helps
Bhavna
You could try Data Analyst visa profession or business analyst profession. With computer technician visa title your case is bound to be rejected again, unless the company sends a letter addressed to the Saudi embassy asking to make an exception - which can be accepted or declined. As for a good agency - try Jamal Exports in Mumbai or ASMACS. They are known to get things done "specially".
Since that visa is already provided, and all documentation has been done. Trying for JAMAL Export or ASMACS. will be good option
@HRGURU, I called both Jamaal and ASMACS. 1) Jamal Says they cannot do. 2)ASMACS says they dont take individual visa on personal basis. Suggest anything else.

They are the ones that I know who could get things"done". You can also try other agencies like Gheewala, JVI, Asiapower, Akbar Travels etc etc , but rather than a lot of agencies, try to fix the profession or visa title or get a letter from employer which I think is the most logical and legal way.
@HRGURU, yes i have kept that option also open, got positive response from one of them.
Employer agent is also showing confidence still not much.
Same visa was rejected in Jan 2015 from delhi, that time agent told mumbai would have been possible.
It took company 6 months to change the location. Its bit late for change in visa, they will take 6 month again to do so.
Next is letter , that i can try. Can you suggest to whom this letter to be addressed and who will write (HR or owner ). and most important, what will be the content of letter. if u can write few lines, i will send it to EMPLOYER , that will be help.
Thanks in advance.

The letter has to be written by the company and signed from Chamber of Commerce and MOFA and then submitted to the embassy via the agent. PM me your email address and I can send you a template of what needs to be written.

BCA, MCA can assist with the programmer visa, however you are have an engineering degree while the visa category is programmer. this could be the reason of rejection.
Thanks for the reply. So theres no posibiliy of visa stamping at all with my engineering degree of computer science?
Hi Friend's,
I am in need of one clarification, please do advise of share your experience.
I have done my Bachelor of Engineering in EC (Electronics and Communications) branch.
I have ~10 yrs of experience in testing job position.
I got an offer from one of the company from KSA and my VISA process is under progress.
Concern is: In the offer letter, my designation/position is mentioned as "Senior Quality Assurance Engineer". Is this creates a problem while stamping VISA (i.e. saying as mismatch of position/designation by comparing it to my degree specialization)??
Appreciate your kind reply with the details and also suggestions to avoid such last minute surprises..!
Thank you.
HR guru,
I have got rejection from consulate. Upon request of agent my company had prepared the request letter and done all the formalties but when agent submitted again with request letter they sent back as it is without saying any reason.
Kindly advide what to do ?

Get in touch with Al Hind travels...Thy're experts in this matter...All the best....
I'd suggest if you cant have your actual degree relabeled that you have someone that knows Arabic translate what bioinformatics is in Arabic and change it to sound exactly like computer science/technician. I would also have someone translate the courses or at least the descriptions in Arabic. Look, these people are so primitive. You're basically working with uneducated children when you get here. I had an immigration official who thought my e-cigarette was some kind of a bomb or gun. It wasn't until the one head immigration guy who had obviously been trained to recognize things from the last five years that are new to the market could confirm what it was and that it was no problem. Always assume that these people are like children and that the most basic of things are beyond them. Spoon feed them whatever it is. Otherwise, some guy with the education level of an American kindergarten student is going to put a NO stamp on whatever it is you need.
Hi HR Guru,
My Visa is Quality Controls Coordinator but my degree is Master of Studies in Hospitality & Tourism administration.
I have got a job related in a restaurant industry in KSA.
My visa stamping got rejected for degree mismatch.
Kindly advise an alternate solution for Visa stamping.
Changing visa title and reapplying is possible? If yes, do i need to do medical again with the new visa, as my current medical fitness says Quality Controls Coordinator in it.
Please advise.
Warm Regards,
Julien
Hello everyone
My degree is B.Tech IT and attestation is done without any issues.
My visa category is computer programmer visa, but embassy rejected by saying degree mis match.
B.Tech IT purely includes computer subjects. I don't know why they rejected.
Any Idea?
Regards,
Hussain.
Dear sir
I found your post regarding visa rejection.Same happened to me last week.
My visa category was project engineer and embassy conveyed agent that it does not match with my atttested mechanical engineeeing degree.
It requires master degree in engineering.
Earlier i went 2 times to saudi.First time in mechanical technician visa and second time in quality examiner.
Now agent is arranging mechanical engineer visa which matches my certificate.
Please tell me what should i do.
