Safety in Libya

Post new topic

Christine

Hi,

We would like to talk about a sensitive but important topic: do you feel safe in Libya?

How would you define the level of safety in the country?

Can you walk safely during the day and at night without any fear?

Do you think there is a high rate of criminality, social problems or tensions?

Share with us your insight on safety in Libya and in the city you live in.

Thank you in advance,

Christine

unfortunately due to the recent events; Tripoli is not as safe as it used to be, and the people are paying the consequences everyday.

there is no legitimate government at the moment; so there is no police; or just a skeleton of the previous police force.  the climate of impunity and the easy access to guns contribute to the rise in crime and gangs.

most citizens and small businesses close their doors by sunset.
