Hi All,

I am an indian national living with my family here in Netherlands. I have got a job offer from KU-Leuven, Belgium and would like to move to belgium along with my family.

My question is, can my family also get the visa along with me?

I read on internet that first I need to move to Belgium and do a load of paperwork before my family can join me in Belgium. But that will cost us time and moreover a lot of hassle as my wife and daughter will have to move to India and then apply for visa.

Please share your experience, and kindly let me know, if it is possible to get the visa for all three of us in one go?

Thank you

aneesh

Hello..

I have a friend (a couple actually) who were in the same situation as you are (they were PHd students in Germany and then the guy got a research job in KU Leuven). Their move was pretty straightforward. I just spoke to them. They didnt have to go back to India to apply. They just applied in the Belgian embassy in Germany (both of them could apply together) who gave them temporary visas to enter Belgium for job. After coming here, they registered in local town hall to get Belgian residence permits.

In your case, the best approach will be to visit Belgian embassy in the Netherlands and present your case.
