What are your impressions about Athens so far?

Hi there!
Well, i'm not really an expat, but i have just returned after 4 years living in UK and i feel kind of like a stranger to be honest. I was just wondering how expats are feeling for their choice to relocate in Athens.
What do you love/hate about Athens and people in general? What about the structure, public services, transportation etc.. in comparison with your places you've lived so far?
One of the things i don't really like about Athens, is the sense of "grubbiness" which also is probably attributed due to the lack of recycling and for some reason people tend to throw rubbish on the streets..

Have you been to Cairo? That place is a disaster with all the trash thrown around--plastic bottles knee-deep around the pyramids (enough to make you cry).
