Difficult to run a casual business in Thailand?

I've lived in Thailand a couple of times for a couple months each, so I know a little about what it's like there, but I didn't do any business there. I'm just basically familiar with their free business style, although I'm not sure how that applies for foreigner's running home businesses.

I want to stay there a few months and continue my online business (blogging and news -- all ethical and respectable websites). First off, do I need anything special to do this there?

Second, I would want to take on a few staff, just to do basic things and also to take care of daily needs (groceries, arranging things like rentals, helping with my Thai, etc). I would like them to be able to help out on my business when needed, as well (just doing basic social media tasks like posting things to Pinterest or whatever). Is anything special needed for this?

Any kind of work request work permit, B visa, and if you are looking to recruit local people, you will have to declare them pay social security, unless they are freelance,.. you never know if an accident happen.

You will be under the radar, delation is something which often happen in Thailand.
You can do partnership but it will be in the Thai name, and you can not work, but less constraint than a Thai limited company.

US citizen have some special treatment under US-Thailand Treaty of Amity but it can be costly and take longtime to go through this process.
