Looking to make American/english speaking friends in Bucharest!

I just moved here like two weeks ago, living with my boyfriend. I have no one to hang out with here yet, so I'm looking for people around my age group (Turning 20 in January).

I don't start college until October 2016, so I have pretty much nothing to do with my free time while my boyfriend goes to college.

I'd just really like to meet someone that I can relate to and I feel like making a friend would make this move a lot more comfortable for me.

Welcome to Romania, Ashley!

I understand the need for familiarity and comfort when moving to a new country, we all want the piece of home and someone that understands where were coming from.  However a word of advice I would give is: have your boyfriend introduce you to his college friends/classmates and start immersing yourself in the culture and language as much as you can.  You're going to need it if you're going to live here and make sense of anything, and it will make your transition perhaps easier.

Do you plan to work or study here yourself Ashley?

He does introduce me to his friends, but they're all guys. They're very polite and lovely people, but I think I'd rather make girl friends.
And I'm applying for the University of Agronomic Science and Veterinary Medicine as soon as my diploma and transcript get returned from the Ministry of Education.
