What varieties of nuts are commonly available (present company excluded!)?

I am especially interested in being able to buy almonds, cashews and hazelnuts.

I have seen almonds, cashews, walnuts, macadamia nuts and peanuts, but haven't come across any hazel nuts so far. (There must also be Brazil nuts, but I can't recall seeing them.) All the nuts tend to be on the expensive side (except the black walnuts you can buy at the mercados), but the quality seems very good, so the price is worth it.

No pistachios (:

No pistachios or hazelnuts is disappointing, but I'm glad to hear that almonds and macadamia nuts are readily available. I make my own almond milk and frequently use macadamia nuts in baked goods. Nuts have been getting expensive in the US as well. Drought in nut-growing regions of the US have driven up the price. I may have to try making black walnut milk!

Thank you PEI Red and finster for your replies!
