Move or not to move, that is the question

Folks,

I was recently offered a job in Abu Dhabi and debating whether or not I should accept the offer. The employer offered 35.000 AED per month + platinum health care + 25 days paid leave + relo benefit + repatriation package + 1 return flight ticket to home country per year.

Having 2 school age children and a baby I assume the family would be on tight budget if we all moved there. So, I am considering to move myself and bring over the family several times a year.

I wonder if this amount would allow me to save about 15.000 AED per month.

Can I find a decent apartment for 10.000 AED? Can I long-term rent a car for about 2.500 AED? Would 7.000 AED per month be enough to finance my daily life? (utilities, internet, phone, food etc) ....I am a simple person, neither drink or smoke ...maybe movies a few times a month.

I will appreciate your feedback.

It's an acceptable offer. Your quote proves that you are a person with proper planning. Keep it up and best of luck.

Schooling is another big expense. Is your company covering the school fee.
