Bugibba advice?

Hi,

We recently moved to Gzira and have come to Bugibba today to visit. We love it and think it would suit us better in terms of living but have a couple of questions.

1. Does it get super busy in the summer? Today it's fairly quiet but we appreciate its out of season.

2. Do many expats live here, on first impressions it looks fairly touristy.

3. Husband works in Gzira, is it too far to commute happily every day?

Hi

1) It's busy but I don't know what's "super busy". The square is crazy and the seashore too. After the season, it's quite and pleasant.

2) A lot. IMHO the expats community is big around Buggiba.

3) IMHO if you need to move around for any place in the same traffic side every day, it's hard. The traffic in Malta is almost big cities in the world, slow, crazy, noise.

Bugibba and St Pauls bay are very touristy but both have lots of expats who live there and have a buzz about them throughout the year.

We don't work so can't answer regarding the commute but I'm guessing its a busy route.

We live in Qawra, which is quieter than Bugibba imho, but parts of Bugibba are ok even in the summer. You just have to ensure that where you live does not get lots of (young) tourists in summer. Their are lot of expats in the St Pauls area and have a BRA branch with a library with people always willing to help. Regarding travel even on a good day the bus will take about 45 minutes to a hour to Gzira (sorry). If you need any info just ask.
