Recommendation For Place To Visit By Train From Krakow

Hello to all.

In December we will be visiting Krakow for the third time. When in Czech Republic, we enjoyed making a few train day-trips from Prague.

Can anyone recommend and nice/interisting/historic towns or villages to visut for the day by train from Krakow. Approx journey time between 1 and 1.5 hrs from Krakow.

From Krakow you may go to Zakopane the famous Polish mountain resort, especially for the typical chalets architecture route renowned all over the world .
However it is better to use the coach/bus system( cheap and faster) rather than the trains although if there is snow in December it might take a bit longer, i would say about 2h30 mns but you still have plenty of time if you leave Krakow early to take a big stroll in Zakopane and a nice lunch...
Also the village of OJCOW (25 Kmw from Krakow) near the Ojcow National Park
The village of DOBCZYCE (30km from Krakow) with the remains of a Royal Castle.
