A professional can't help much before people know where they want to be. Besides, it is strongly advised to rent for 6-12 months before even thinking of buying anything. And, the best deals usually are word of mouth from local friends once you have made connections here.

Panama is such a diverse country and we have seen most of it. There are so many questions I would ask but I think your brief description and the sites provided are a great start.

Hello new on thi site for Panama currently belong to the Puerto Rico site. Currently living in pr. At this point unsure how things in or will work out due to this debt going on. We were smart and we rent. We moved here because my husband is 100% disabled veteran and get his career at the va. Well the va here in pr is even worse then states. I had to travel 2 hrs to a hospital that took champva (military dependence insurance).  I was there 13 hrs in a lobby. Puerto Rico is possible going to crumble due to its debt. We have horrible power service and the water here I wouldn't even drink. So I am trying to find the true cost of a rental in Panama. I understand the price would change according to the area.  So I would be interested in getting some links to be able to look possibly in the classifieds. Thanks

Check out the links above, but please understand that there are no VA Hospitals in Panama.  It is not a U.S. territory.  The VA does have a program to reimburse expats for some service related disabilities though.  Search this site and you will find more information. Care will be through local hospitals and clinics.  This does not make them bad, it just does not cover reimbursement for all medical care.

Thanks I do realize Panama has no va.  However if we can get medical cheaper in Panama that could help
