Hello everybody,

I am very new here, just made my profile.
First of all it's great to be part of a dynamic forum like this one.

Here is my situation:

* me and my wife (filipina) are married now, with the family book and everything.
* we got like 12k ($) in our bank account.
* my wife is working as health inspector in Boracay.
* I am a professional or hospitality for now 10 years, and just finished my contract in Jersey UK. (Now not looking for job)

What we consider to do:

* To go to Europe with 2 countries in mind, (Norway and Sweden)
* Or maybe start a business here in the Philippines with our money (if possible)

And our questions are:

* With 12k could we possibly start something?
* If we go to Europe (knowing I am registered in Sweden and got my social number) could we just go there with our own funds and look for a job?

you need to go to the bureau of immigration for the rules about owning a business or of course you can put in your wife's name. 12k$ is not a huge sum. a lot of foreigners operate taxi's or jeepney's but it is very hard work, I had 19 taxi's, bad move, I sold all after 3 years of hard graft and losing money. Small maybe better but it will not provide much in the way of income. a lot of cart business's are around 30 to 45k peso so a good location might be ok, for info on that google olx web site for cart franchise.
