My external hard disk is not getting detected by any of the OS ( I tried it with Mac,Windows and Ubuntu, but none of them are detecting!), but I am able to view all the files and folders while connecting it to the TV! (even I can play videos,songs and photos) I have some important data in it, including my writings which I got a positive response from one of the publishers. My limitation is, I can't hand over my hard disk since I have some confidential files in it (my writing as an example). Anyone have any idea, how to recover the data? I'm using MacBook and I will be so happy if you can help me with the best data recovery software available in Mac platform. Or, anyone can suggest a team who can recover my data with my presence? Please reply

Hey,

It seems have quite a problem in ur hands, anyway I used a tool called GetDataBack, it is a very powerful tool and you can run it overnight to get everything back (u will need free storage on another drive). Problem is, that it is on Windows platform when I used it, and I'm not sure if they have a MAC version from. Anyway give it a shot.
