1 Ask around the office
2 Make sure transport isn't a problem _ a Transjakarta route area or walking distance would be helpful to you.
3 Furnished and swimming pool prices will kill you in that area.

Advice.
Many expats come to Indonesia, realise the power of their salary, then promptly go mad with it.
Don't do it, and you'll leave with a fat sack of cash and you'll probably have a better experience anyway.

Actually I'm a homebird, for sure I will try to have a week end out of jakarta per month
But generally if i'm not working or working out I'm home.
So the only thing I may invest a bit in it is my confort home.

You're definitely right about going crazy, I saw that with many expat in my homeland.
