cost of living & salary

i am from india and last week i got an offer from one of the pharmaceutical company named BETA HEALTHCARE. may be you have heard about this company. they offer me a salary of 1000 USD + Accommodation with electricity bills and water bills + to fro airfares to my home town.
my query is that is this a sufficient salary to service in dar es salaam city for me and my wife.

Since accommodation, water and electricity are covered which would cost you anywhere between $500-1000 that is a big relief. Now for food you may need another Tsh 400,000. Telephone, Cable, Internet will cost around Tsh 100,000. Together $250. What about your ride? How are you planning to move around in DAR ?

You will have a saving of $700 if you deduct the $250 + Ride which is still not bad. Once you perform and when your involvement reflects in company's financial figures you can always ask for better package. Or get experienced and move to another company in the same field when you are ready.

FYI 1 USD = 2150 Tsh now.
