Hi all

This seems a simple question but it's turning into something quite difficult to sort at the moment. We would like to buy USD with VND but nowhere seems to want to do it. I have tried banks and foreign exchange outlets in supermarkets but they can only exchange USD into VND.

There is of course the places in the airport but I'm not convinced we will get a good rate, but I am open to being convinced otherwise.

Any suggestions? We live in D2.

Go to Mai Van gold shop at no. 1A, Nguyen An Ninh street, opposite to Ben Thanh market,
or its neighbor/competitor: Ha Tam gold shop.

Everyday there are lots of tourists, locals ... buy & sell all kind of currency there.

This come from my travel experience, every time I go abroad, I need to exchange money,
and that is the address I go to.

I've checked several other options, but they usually give best prices (in my experience)
