Hi, I will be staying in Vietnam for a while and was wondering what is the best bank to open an account and transfer money with as I'm thinking it is a better option instead of using atm's.

Does anyone have any advice regarding this ? info on things such as fees, interest rates, transfer costs, type of account to open etc would be appreciated,

Not sure where you are coming from, (or going to) but as an Australian expat, I have found their own 'Commonwealth' bank provided everything (plus) ..for even I did not know of their 'Travel card' system. They provide two cards completely separate from your bank accounts which also provide (all) currencies wherever you are. Realistically. Thief-proof, since only YOU can use each card. Kept separately in case of theft or lost luggage.

As well, they provide an up-to-date advisory service even I found (not) too good to be true.

Actually, much better! Available at all ATM's too...
