where is the best place for us to start? Is obtaining residency easy?

Hey guys, we've just returned from our second holiday to Vanuatu. I am now desperate to move there permanently!! I work in construction (roofing) and am hoping to land a job in this industry that will get my dream started!! I have a wife and 4 kids, we are a youngish (36) couple and have sooo many questions. From you guys experience, where is the best place for us to start? Is obtaining residency easy? Have you guys had any problems with the kids settling in? Any help or advise you could offer would be great.
