I am interested in finding the "best" weather in Ecuador. Does anyone know of a place in Ecuador that fits these criteria:

A place where:

-you never have the need to heat your home
-you never have the need to air condition your home

With all the variations in altitude, there must be a place that hovers between 60 degrees F and 80 degrees F most of the time.

I'm sure there are places in Ecuador that meet these two criteria. Quito? NO, too cold. The coast? I don't know. I've heard that at the coast you'd better have A/C or you will die from the heat.

Any help will be appreciated.

There is nothing like California in Ecuador weatherwise, but...
How about Cumbaya? It is close to Quito, but is located in a valley down from the Quito valley. Therefore a lot dryer and warmer climate.

Thanks for your generous reply Mango7. I'm checking out Cumbaya. It sounds good so far.

A note on California weather: I've lived here all my life, and I love it, but most places do not have the best weather. Southern Cal does have the weather, but that many people in a confined space is not a good thing.

Anyone else know of another place not requiring A/C or heat in Ecuador?
