Cost of living 2016

Hello
I'm an art teaching looking to move into Macau. I'm from Korea, and currently live in Indianapolis, IN.
I really want to move to Macau, but my parents really want me to move to Shanghai.
I've been looking into information about Macau to convince my parents however I've noticed there are very few information about Macau!

How much would average monthly spending be? Including food, some leisure activities and rent?
I'm not interested in gambling at all so please leave that out of the sum.

My work pays me salary after tax - do I have to pay tax again?

How much is sales tax?

I've noticed on some websites milk per gallon is 10$ is that true!?! (I'd be devastated ): )

Do people ever live with roommates?

Would 28000 MOP (including housing spending) be enough to suffice per month?

Hi,

More than enough for a month (MOP 28k). If you can afford, I suggest you to live on Taipa side which is quieter. You may share a flat with others as most of the flats here in Macau are bigger than average (usually it's 2 to 3 bedrooms). For the tax, you need not pay it again as it's deducted from your salary every month.
