Hey there,
it sounds that you're enjoying living in Athens! That's good news!
I don't really know what kind of places you usually like to hang out but if you want a cup of really nice coffee try Kolonaki square, it's walking distance from Sydagma square, all the coffee shops around that area they serve v good coffee! Other areas more fun and less 'groomed' kind of more alternative areas are PLATEIA VISINIAS, near monastiraki, PSIRI, near Monastiraki again, then THISEIO AND GAZI. Many interesting people having their coffee or their beer in these areas. I am pretty sure you'll find a nice cup of coffee over there!
Have you visited any of the north suburbs? KIFISSIA? If you take the metro from monastiraki to kifissia will take out around 30-40 minutes to get to Kifissia, when you get out just walki straight up to reach the main big square of this town. Explore and enjoy! Kifissia is quite 'groomed'and wealthy but also interesting and of course you can enjoy a super nice cup of coffee! Good luck and have fun in Athens!
