Hi Guys

I have few questions ,

1.

If I apply for Ecuador Residency visa  (9-II) as a Dependent of my father , will it be shown on my Residency visa stamp that I am a dependent ??  Will it be shown on my cedula that I am a Dependent ?

2.

If I am on Dependent visa(Dependent of my father) and I get married later on , can my wife be included as my dependent ??

Has any one applied for a family case with More than one dependents , I am confused .

Thanks
Dino

Five weeks ago on another thread about a Pakistani (you) wanting to move to Ecuador, you said you were consulting with an EC attorney about your visa issues.

It’s unclear why you would ask non-attorney Expats on this forum for this kind of inside-baseball stuff when you have ongoing access to an immigration attorney.

Ecuador makes it hard for Pakistanis (and nationals of nine other countries) to visit the country, so don’t expect the EC bureaucracy to make things easy for you with a residency visa.

If you’re serious about this, pose such questions to the experienced attorney whose email address I posted on the other thread .. or the one you already have consulted.

If you marry I don't think your wife can be your dependent; maybe your father's, if that's who you are dependent on.  There is a facilitator named Cameron (can't remember her last name) that you can ask on FB using Ecuador Expats.  DO NOT use Maite Duran as she has botched several visas that involved dependents.

I would get all your questions answered before you come down as the dependency issue for non spousal dependent so seems to be tricky.  There is also an attorney with an excellent reputation in Quito.  He can be found on FB; his name is Joseph Guznay and he speaks English.

Cameron is her last name -- Dana Cameron, a U.S. Expat and university professor in Guayaquil.
