I don't know what helps and doesn't anymore. I went to a dinner run by the brits at Mercure in Night Bizarre. Their solution to the problems of the North were to involuntarily incorporate the hill tribes in thai society. That's a winning idea.
Now, i will post some photos of the tour buses tourists ride, and the Burmese encampment by the airport, in case u allowed them to be posted.
Then the prices for tourists where rodang's tell them the fare is 150 baht, where the maximum price is 20 baht. And the yellow cars charge prathed seecow 20 baht, instead of 10.
And the Riverside restaurants and gated communities for the NGO's and Christians, not to mention the International School and it's special privileges not availed to Chiang Mai families. Chiang Mai even has a 5 baht Doctor bill NGO.
And tailors, charging 10,000 baht for a lesser quality pair of cashmere pants that I pay 1200 baht, and I am 125 kilos.
And what about that woman who said she lived in the USA and spoke great English at the New Years celebration on Prathu Thapae, and she kept calling prathed seecow, "farang," over and over and over, but referred to the "Thai" as "prathed thai," and "khon thai." She even spoke with a small amount of respect when referencing the hill tribes and called the mountain tribes hill tribes, at least she didn't call them "Kohn paa."
How many chao tarng prathed and chao tarng chat know that the slang alternative by which they should be addressed would be: "prathed" rather than "farang?" people think that "farang" is "foreigner" rather than a green round fruit known as a guava, and literally, a "fruit to be peeled." But, I am now teaching them that a person that calls you a "farang" can be a "di-moon, supparote, or kohn paa (which they love)."
I had a very rough day today! My Lisu-shi wife won't come back, and I love her, and it's not safe to go to Ban Sow Dang or Ban Watchan now, and how do i explain that to tourists! and Thai's have utter contempt for mountain people, so getting help is like a dream, and her mom is a "manager of people" in "Had Yai," and that we can't talk about either! The Lisu want me to buy her a HOUSE in BanWatChan and a new motorcycle (which she is afraid to ride) if she will come back. Is that a deathwish or what from the woman I love, for me of course! I even told friends to offer them 100,000 baht, but I already sent 160,000 baht to the mtn and they say they got nothing, and and and .. oh, i had a great day today. it's these malay and korean guys and tourists who come and buy our wives when we are not looking thru had yai and malaysia connections and we lose our wives, because their mom's work with people with money for toys they throw away at 30. and we love them, and we can't teach the tourists anything
