I was an Accountant for an Immigration Law firm which handles the immigration matters of big corporations who sponsor working visas and labor certifications to foreigners to work in the US.
They (usually big companies) sponsor people with special abilities; for example Chefs from France & Italy to work in upscale restaurants or people with intellectual capabilities like researchers, or lawyers for international banking functions or nurses and physical therapists or educators and IT personnel, etc. from all over the world whom they find suitable for their need.
If you are experienced in your field, somewhat top of the league, capable therefore worth the try; & they have the need for your abilities, they will most certainly spend dollars for you to be able come and work here.
