Written offer ??

Hi
It's been a week now since I have been offered a position and I have been chasing for the written offer. All I have been told by recruiter that client is suggesting it's in process. I want to find out from the expats here is this a usual case with a Saudi based employment? How long do they take roughly?
I have sent my degrees for attestation as requested but now need an offer letter to get attested by cultural beauerue and foreign ministry etc.
I have chased yesterday but I have been suggested by recruiter to be a little bit more patient.
I don't know what to do ? I don't want to contact directly with employer as they might not feel it correct.
A week is not a long time in Saudi, and the patience you have now will stand you in good stead when you enter the Kingdom.
Thanks. But generally how long this guys take? Is it due to the fact of new law of saudisation which they need to manipulate to get us there for the company benefits?
1 week to a good few months by few I mean 6
Serious. But they said they want me to start on urgent basis
Be patient....RULE NO 1 FOR KSA
Most recruiter does that!
I had been told that what if i would fly that week and i didnt have a passport! So i told them, " so i'll get it right away!" And so i did. But it took a month before i had that "flight"!
So you just sit back and wait!
There is nothing you can do.
Ok thanks. So is it due to saudisation issue?
Can someone please give me details on steps after a verbal offer has made? Like what steps and when would I expect to follow so I can plan things on right time.
Thanks in advance
Have patience....The first and only step...
Every week call up the company HR and follow up on your offer...
Nothing else you can do...
There is a recruiter involved who is not helpful much

Lol!
I guess if the recruiter require your qualifications (documents, certificates, etc.) then definitely they find you suited for the job you applied for.
So why trouble yourself?
Let them do their job and do yours when the time comes.
Hmm. It's just I think I am taking a bit time to understand about saudia recruitment process.
I am waiting now and thinking I will ring only once a week to recruiter so he would feel comfortable.
Degree has been attested by hec Pakistan but still waiting on offer letter so can't go further in attestation process until I get an offer letter from company. I wonder how long would these guys take to process an offer letter.
As told...Patience...Keep following up...
I am still keeping up. I will call recruiter today since it's a week today no correspondence.
Rang recruiter up on last wednesday and he has suggested that hiring manager is chasing HR but it's not in his hand. Since their HR is not very much organised. Poor hiring manager he is an expat too lol.
Another week starting in Saudia from tomorrow and i am really much hopeful that INSHAALLAH this week i will get all the documentation.
Please remember me in your prays.
Your expectations are high!!
Kindly note that it is a must that the HR must be a Saudi guy and as per your description of the HR not being organised well, it looks like it's gonna take time...Be patient and hope for the best!!
They have already taken 2 weeks that's why it's being said as compared to uk that their HR is not organised
I said I am hopeful because I want to stay positive and I also said انشأالله تعالٰى so my expectations are not high but my believe in الله تعالٰى is strong الحمد الله. Sooner or later will get it انشأالله تعالٰى when time is better for me.
Please have mercy on yourself. Dont show them that you are too desperate about the job. This might put you in second choice as you really need it so badly so they wouldnt think that you gonna look for another.
Show them that you can find another just like this or evern more. Dont be too clingy with hr, it might have a bad impact to your application.
I'm just saying.
Again, good luck and have patience.
You are right. That's why I have stopped chasing. I chased in the first week that's it. Then last week I only rang for once. This week I am not planning to ring at all. To be honest I am waiting on another job feedback too.
I had left to ALMIGHTY الله تعالٰى before and now have left completely on him now.
I just updated here as a good will gesture that you guys have responded and thankful to you all.
آلسّلامُ عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Finally my offer letter came through today. Funny thing was after such delay they still didn't get it right but I had to let recruiter know and this time they had amended the offer letter and send the correct one in 10 minutes.
So this is sorted now الحمد الله
They are expecting me to be in kingdom between 2 weeks to 4 weeks but I have told them I can join them by end of June. Let's say what do they say now.
Thanks guys for your help and yes patience really helped me and I am sure i will need this most every time now. May ALMIGHTY الله تعالٰى ease everything for me. Aameen
Alhamdulillah...
Very fast... Mine already took 12 months... And I still don't have my actual Employment Contract yet...
May الله تعالٰى make it ease on you. There would definitely be something better that's why it's taking so long. May الله تعالٰى shower his blessings and rehmat upon you.
I attended the interview on 13th of November 2015.
Believe me I was really active in getting my attestation and all the other processes done as soon as possible.
And I landed Riyadh on 19th of April 2016.
Alḥamdulillāh!
So Irfan what took so long? Are you from Pakistan?
Could you please share either here or through message as it could help me?
I am Indian.
Actually Saudi people have different way of taking the word "Patience" . I was to get my certificate registered and then attested by Saudi Cultural. So of course it will take time.
YOu can chat me on Whats app or any other messenger app. I cannot write long messages. however I will always be there for you or anyone.
Dear sir,
Just have patience. Unfortunately we know that state department through out the world is slow. In Saudi it is nothing different but unfortunately also slower. Here we had people waiting for 3months for appointment letter and sometimes it happens within one day. This is life here. Be exited about the offer and keep on knocking without pestering because you do not want to start on the wrong foot with HR in the organisation. HR jobs is reserved for Saudi's only.
Best of luck
Hi Guys,
Hope everyone is fine. After such a delay i finally got the signed offer letter reverted back to me 2 and half months ago which i have originally sent back if i remember correct in May. Anyways i am still awaiting on visa information even though the HR guy had promised me that he would come back to me with all the required info by next week (last week of July) but i am still awaiting on it.
To get official signed offer letter i had to paster them a lot by emails and calls which i don't want to do it now.
Could anyone shed some light here what would be their next stage in terms of visa processing and how long they should take to come back to me with all the visa documents etc? I reckon even though if they issue me a visa sometime this month i still need to complete the left over attestation process since i am waiting on documents from them , plus medical and etc, so i wonder how long would it take?
I have been told by my hiring manager that they have agents in UK who should do all the running for me to get the visa stamped so which sounds me great at least i wouldn't have to chase the embassy in London to stamp my passport for visa.
Expect it by September end mostly cause this month many will be on leave and next month is Eid...Keeppatience...
Mr. Ali_N is correct. Starting from Ramadan till 5 days after Eid specifically and from Ramadan till Hajj generally, the work slows down. Most of the people take annual leaves or at least short vacations during this period.
For visa to be processed by Saudians ?
Ok then in that case I can do my other things. So it looks like I will be there by November if not sooner because I have to give 4 weeks notice to my clients

DO NOT RESIGN TILL YOUR VISA IS STAMPED ON YOUR PASSPORT
It may take longer maybe December, February anything can happen...
Once your visa is stamped, you'll have 3 months to enter the KSA...
