Resident visa for American

Post new topic

juerolo

Hi everyone,
I am an American who will soon need to apply for a Resident visa in order to work in Libya.  I am trying to prepare documents and generally arrange myself for what is going to be required from me in order to sucessfully submit this application.  Any and all advice is greatly appreciated (including links to any useful websites, google, webcrawler, etc dont seem to lead me anywhere but to visa expidtor companies, none of which seems to have the information I need.

All the best,

Juerolo

If your employer isn't helping you with this, then I'd be asking some serious questions.
Your future employer shoulder ask you for a,b &c  , you provide it, they do the leg work at this end.

edit - you apply for residency once you're here. It involves a blood test & an X-ray and more passport photos than you can believe.

Thanks Mudman,

I will be making my first trip to Libya on a business visa next week.  Of course, everything starts with your employer.  I know that I will need to apply for a Resident or work visa after or during my first trip.

What I am trying to figure out is what I will be required to do in the coming weeks, months (without getting too far ahead of myself with HR) in order to be ready for the resident visa.  If I need to travel back specifically to the US, what kind of documents etc I will be required to come up with.

Cheers,

John
