Obtaining FBI clearance for Canadian PR immigration

hi the canadian immigration is requesting fbi cleance for my son who is living in us with his dad ...its been 6 weeks but no result yet...are we going to request for new one?since i dont know if it reaches in fbi..pls.tell me what to do?since im here in philippines

FBI clearence will take few months to complete. they are so overwelmed they have backlogs of prints to clear. but if you have no criminal records in the US there is nothing to worry about. it's a standard procedure and everyone has to go thru it. if you do have a criminal record on the other hand it depends on how serious the charges are, felonies will most likely bare you from immigrating but a misdemeanor may be looked over depending on which class are you immigrating under. in the later case it's better to have the assistance or representation of an immigration attorney. good luck.

hi just called fbi last week only to find out there is something wrong with the creditcard form..and luckily they told me to fax again the creditcard form..hope it will be ok for now...how many days to i have to wait since they are going to mailed it on regular mail withn the U.S.?and pray it will not be lost along the way..we've been processing the fbi for about 12 weeks...

i dont know about fingerprinting inmalaysia,my son got his from the police station....
