My best advice would be to hire an attorney to get this done for you. I use 3 different ones depending on where in the country I am and for different purposes, however all 3 of them can help you obtain a visa. Email me and I will give you the contact information on who I use.

Think about it - if it would be so easy a lot of expats would do it themself. All russians and all norteamericanos I know and read about, used(using) lawyers for visas, even these who are fluent in spanish. There is reason for that.
and say thank you are not dealing with US immigration and with US immigration lawyer, just Ecuador immigration.
