Hi group!
We have purchased an apartment in Benicalap, Valencia and we will need to purchase some appliances and have some services looked into when we take possession in September. We will need a refrigerator, a washing machine, a dishwasher and potentially a gas water heater and wall mounted air conditioner unit. Can anyone recommend a retailer or wholesaler in the Valencia area who will sell, deliver and install any or all of these appliances?
Many thanks for any help!

MediaMarkt and Worten are usually the places people head for first. Carrefour, Eroski, Alcampo type supermarkets too. They will all deliver and they all have some sort of deal with installers.

If you have any affiliation to your local town then one of the franchises like Tien21, Euronics etc. will almost be certainly a little more expensive but you have the advantage of being able to develop a bit of a relationship with a local supplier and it's easier to complain or to get help too.

Just look for electrodomesticos on google and you'll find lots and lots.

HI,

What about Amazon.es?

They have very competitive prices, and sometimes refurbished products are a bargain. Home delivery is a plus and you can always compare reviews and opinions with amazon.com/amazon.co.uk/etc.

Buying from Amazon.com wouldn’t be possible as some sellers won’t ship to Spain, or shipping cost would be too high but, if you have an Amazon account you can log in in Amazon.es with your same password and search for the items you need. Your Amazon Prime subscription from other countries is not valid here, you need to pay the fee for Amazon.es to become prime, is just 20€ per year and have free and fast shipping (many articles are next day delivery).

Just one more tip... delivery in vilas and houses in the countryside or rural areas  is a nightmare, you can have a Post Box (apartado postal) in your local Post Office (Correos) for about 72€ every year, or you can select any of the local delivery places that amazon has by your city or village and pick it up whenever is more convenient for you.

Kind regards,

Jesus.

I found homeexpertreviews.com and different reviews on goods from Amazon and other sites. It is very interesting to read and compare, after which it is not difficult to make a choice.
I advise everyone, too, first to read the reviews, don't be afraid to ask on the forums and only after that do the shopping on the Internet.
Best ;)
