I have received a "contact request" from a member of this forum. If I agree, will he receive my email address, or it this contact via this site? Anybody know how that works?

Questions about the website should be asked through the contact form and not on the forum. However, a quick reply to your post, the answer is no, they will not have access to your e-mail address, it is confidential.
