can a non EU citizen get tax ID from broad ..How..??

hi..l  need a tax  number ID but  l  am not in Portugal now..Caan l get one if l  have a Portugal  citizen friend  to  represent me in PPortugal..Can l  get it  without going there..thanks....

Quick follow up for forum readers that ends up finding this post.

A legal "permanent representation" can be obtained for economic agents that wish to do business in Portugal or within EU.
You will need to select a Portuguese representative, establish e legal entity and send your business acts from where you are incorporated.

Hi,
whatever is your nationality is and you have a legal residence permit in Portugal, you can ask tax number. just visit loja de cidade at your area in Portugal

Partially true.
The paypal founder Emon musk do not need to have a legal residence permit in Portugal to open shop  https://www.racius.com/tesla-portugal-s … ssoal-lda/
If its for business purposes a simple representant allows you to get tax ID.
