Alright everyone!

Has anyone ever, or know if its possible to cycle from St Pauls Bay to Sliema via the coastal main road?

Any info would be helpful.

Thanks

Do you want to do that? I gave up cycling in Malta, it is like playing with something that is gonna explode sooner or later.
Cycling and Malta are two words that cannot stay in the same sentence

Also consider increasing your life and medical insurance cover.  :)

Join Bicycling Advocacy Group- Malta on Facebook. No point asking here :). There is one young Maltese guy who has mapped dozens of routes and yes, it is totally possible to do St Paul's to Sliema, but the bike lane does a couple odd things along the way (like temporarily disappears).
Kudos to you! I'm seeing more and more cyclists around Sliema where I live and I'm very happy about it. I'm almost ready to get back in the saddle after two years of thinking it's not such a great idea.
Our numbers are increasing... Yay!!

I'd go for it, too. The bike lane along the coast road itself looks alright, the way I see it the bigger problems might be St Paul's and St Julian's / Sliema. Be careful on the way back to St Paul's, though - in Salina the bike lane "joins" the coast road... I'd check if there's a possibility to cycle via Salinas... And the roundabout at Salinas might be a bit tricky, too...

There's plenty of running / jogging going on around Sliema and is just a little safer. It's a long way to St Pauls though.... :D

Is it allowed to cycle on the promende around Gzira/Sliema?

No! Unless you're under 12.
A quick google search will bring up some articles by the Malta Independent and other papers on the topic...
