Hi there and welcome,

A first step would be to browse the forum here - loads of useful tips from expats in Malta! You can use the search box (magnifying glass) on top of the page, or browse the topics if you click on "forum"... Good luck with your plans :)

Some more information needed from you, what do you want tips on?  A lot of information is already
available on here.

Hi Mark,

I would take a look at the Blogs section under Community at the top of the page and read the first blog, " Our Malta Move" by Felinefine, also Scots.

It will give you an idea of what it can be like to reside here.

Unless you are trying to put people off coming here I would not take too much notice of
Felines posts.

I think those posts are useful, it makes it very clear that you should come here with an open mind and only after spending a fair bit of time here feeling the place out.  You should also know yourself and your needs and be able to objectively evaluate a place.

Malta is very very much not like the UK you need to be able to adjust your expectations.  So her experience here is a great example to hold up for above.

Feline moaned about absolutely everything from start to finish and should never have come her without doing more homework and more visits!
Also her posts did not   ' make it very clear that you should come here with an open mind and only after spending a fair bit of time here feeling the place out.'  she was ante everything from day one!
