Employer ask for money

Hi guys,

I have one case you here one of my friend he just new here in Bahrain and not satisfies with his work and he wanna go back to his country but his employer ask him for 500 dinnars otherwise he won't give him passport. Could u please advise me Is there any law like this.?

Hi,

If he has signed a contract before joining work and if he has not completed the term of employment the employer always has a upper hand.
